I heart post is my blog dedicated to all things postal - stamps, first day covers, airmail, postcards, letters and aerograms.
In particular my blog is about my stamp collection.

Four reasons to heart post:
  1. Stamps are beautiful
  2. Stamps tell you about history
  3. Stamps are tiny and ephemeral, and collecting them is FUN
  4. Stamps contain a promise of correspondence
I am based in Melbourne, Australia. My stamp collecting has been a daggy, well kept secret - up until now. Recently I have chosen to embrace my hobby wholeheartedly and declare my love of all things postal to the world.

I also like knitting and jigsaw puzzles -- but don't despair, I don't plan to inflict blogs about all my nanna-hobbies on the world just yet.  I also like going out into the world and seeing people sometimes too.

At the moment I aim to update this blog each Wednesday with a new post on post, which might contain my musings on stamps, history, art, or collecting; or all of the above. I have recently begun posting on Sundays as a participant in Viridian's Sunday Stamps - this gives me a chance to pick out stamps based on a theme for the week, and leads me to think about things that I might not otherwise think about. It's fun!
